A wonderful volunteer

A wonderful volunteer was able to get on the property and sent the following information:

-It was pretty overwhelming! Some of the dogs in kennels had food, others did not.

-Countless dirty buckets were strewn about for the dogs, they looked as if they had never been washed.

-Most buckets just had dirty frozen water.

-We had to bring our own water, the water hose outside had been turned off.

-3 puppies were in a barrel along with the remains of an older dog.

-I had to get out of there quick, I did count 9-10 Brittney's.

-Most dogs were Pointers approx. 25-30.

-These dogs are beautiful!

More info to follow as it becomes available.

Rescues are 501c3 and get most of there funding through private donations. Emergency funds are needed! A list of all rescues involved will be added to this blog, all are accepting emergency donations. IL Bird Dog Rescue went through most of its ER funds at this time last year when we heard about a similar situation and brought up over 40 dogs from the side of a mountain. With love and care dogs that lived in the worst conditions can thrive and become great family pets.

That was quite touching and I feel badly for the animals. It takes special people to be so involved and giving.
